First post.

This feels kind of weird and crazy. There has to be a start to this website, and the first post seems like the perfect place to do exactly that. As you maneuver your way around the website, you’ll stumble upon a post about how I got started in real estate and where I’m at now. (If you’re having trouble finding any of it, click here). Here’s another quick rundown of me: My name is Ryan, I’m 20 years old, and I run one of the top real estate teams inside my brokerage. I chose real estate school over college, and it was easily one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I got in real estate at 18 years old and I started at Keller Williams Realty and I joined a team. I was able to learn a lot from them in just the short four months I was there. I was unsure of what I wanted to do, but I knew I didn’t want anything to do with a team at all. I switched to JK Realty where I was mentored by Jeff Dorsten, who is now my business partner. It was just the two of us together in 2017. We ended up being the #3 team at the brokerage and I got a little taste of success. Success became the most addictive drug in the world. My wheels were starting to turn. I felt comfortable enough in real estate but was lacking confidence with my age. I’m sure you can imagine that being my age and in real estate is very intimidating at times. For most people, buying a home is the biggest purchase they’ll ever make. How could I possibly get someone to trust me enough with that. My vision became clear towards the end of 2017. If I could take the same effort that Jeff put towards me with teaching me and I applied it to other agents and created a team, we could all be really really successful together. Jeff and I had agreed to create the “JR Team”. This decision that I was expecting to just be a little thing at first has turned into easily one of the biggest and greatest things in my life. The JR Team is currently the #2 team at the brokerage and we are growing. The JR Team has been up and running since February 5th, 2018 and we have been one of the top teams in the office since.

Now you’re caught up in my business life. As for personal, I have a very simplistic life. I’m currently in a relationship with my favorite person in the entire world, Caeley. This girl is my rock and I don’t know what I’d do without her by my side. My best friends are my parents, and it means the world for me to be able to have such a special relationship with both. Now that you have an idea of who I am, let’s get right to business. My website isn’t all real estate business. This will be my personal blog where I talk about my life, my goals, and my business. One thing I’ve learned in just a short two years in real estate is what people like. Some people call it real estate, others call it home therapy. The beauty of our careers is being able to help others and see their life. Each person has a different story, and it helps tremendously with how to look at life. People want transparency in 2018. Most companies offer the same products, and it is true in my opinion. But what makes some companies different?

“There no longer has to be a difference between who you are and what you do.” -Gary Vaynerchuk

Authenticity is the answer. No games, nothing fake, no bullshit. I want my site to be as authentic as it gets. Anything I encounter in real estate and experience in my journey through entrepreneurship I will document through writing, photography, and videos. I want everyone to see me do it, and I want everyone to see the moment I say, “I did it”.
